Tall, statuesque, and possessing the icy beauty that seems to come naturally to Nordic women, Liv Mjönes is the archetype of the Swedish blonde. Born in Stockholm in 1979, Liv got her start in the TV movie Vexator (2002) before appearing in the romantic comedy Miffo back in 2003. Liv mainly made a living on Swedish television early in her career, playing such varied roles as Alice in the multi-decade drama Those Half Hidden and Viola on the kid’s puppet show Hotell Kantarell, all the way to her recurring role as Lisa in Amy Poehler‘s brother, Greg Poehler‘s sitcom about an American comic who moves to Sweden, Valkommen ater. But since the small screen glimpses of her had us jonesin for some Mjones, we were happy to hear her role as a thirty-something single woman who embarks on a bare-breasted Sapphic affair with her stepsister in Kiss Me (2011) had a scene that could come closest to satisfying our fappetite. Filmed in black and white, in the flick about a woman deciding between a man and a woman as her next lover, we first see Liv and another lady making out during some sin-chronized swimming, before Liv takes her tank top off and has sex with Ruth Vega Fernandez. Liv moved on to movies like the rapping founding father-free Hamilton: In the Interest of the Nation (2012) and landed the title role in Tsatsiki, Dad and the Olive War (2015), but American audiences likely know her best as the gorgeous May Queen contestant Ulla in the cult thriller Midsommar (2019). A busy little bee, she was Patricia in Advokaten, Carro in Amningsrummet and Jeanette in Trevlig Helg all between 2019 and 2021. A sexy Swede with that kind of work ethic?
